This event was well attended. Once again it was great meeting the
guys from Calgary & Alberta. Judging by the pictures from below,
everyone seemed to be having lots of fun.

Team Manitoba – Winners for another year!

Team Manitoba got off to a very slow start and was trailing Team
Alberta by as much as 10 games. Manitoba caught up to Alberta at
the halfway mark of the first half and established a small lead of 4
games at lunch.
.
A most delicious lunch was served and there was lots of food for
every one there. The second half got underway with Manitoba
maintaining a slim lead right throughout the half. Manitoba went
on to claim victory for another year 101-96. Alberta put up a very
courageous battle but in the end they came up short by 5 games.

Our scorer, Kathleen Castello (above), did an impressive job scoring.
Her work was extremely neat and flawless. Many believe she is one of
the best scorers in the MAA league. She is also a fine all fours player.

Special thank you to Ken & Beth Mungal for providing us with
refreshments for this tournament and the entire 2018 all fours
season. Everyone appreciates the job you do for us every year.

We the MAA are already looking forward to next year when we travel
to Edmonton to play Alberta for the WCC. Congratulations to Alberta
for putting up a courageous and very close battle this year.
